Original Art using watercolor\Acrylic from my series Women Are Like Trees. Printed from the original ink, I added color on top created the vision I wanted for my first book.
WILLOW:
While it seems that the Willow tree is viewed as a symbol of sadness, it is actually the complete opposite. She is a powerful tree that stands with strength as her trunk flares at the roots, creating a structure stable enough for her to extend her branches. Her strength runs deeper than her roots, her soul and spirit influence her growth. Willow sways with a hint of uncertainty and insecurity. She may feel that she cannot face the challenges ahead, but her roots will never fail to fight the winds that threaten to take her down. Like a contortionist, she is resilient and can bend her body without the fear of snapping. She will stand with elegance, beauty, strength, and will not be afraid to show her weaknesses to the world. Willow reminds us to let go and begin healing. We are strong.
