I had the most powerful and beautiful vision of this piece... a woman being lifted by butterflies. I truly feel many women will interpret this painting in a way that they will completely understand. I can imagine the weight being carried by the butterflies, allowing a moment of ease to this woman's body, mind and spirit. Nature and the divine feminine is completely supporting her and she hands her trust over, finally feeling liberated from the burdens that accompany this human experience. The butterfly is such a powerful symbol of transformation, hope, guidance and the souls journey. You can see the beautiful mixtures of colors gracefully lifting the woman's hair. Not only is she being lifted, she is also being revealed. You can see acceptance and a moment of understanding reflecting in her eyes. Despite the tension of her hair wrapping around her own body, she gives in to the weightlessness, because the discomfort of each step on the cold hard surface was mush worse.
