"I Left a Piece of Me There" a painting that represents a place in nature that immediately nourishes us. Somewhere that feels familiar, as if our inner child has explored this part of nature before. The second we enter this sanctuary, it's like a piece of us is returned to us and for a moment we feel whole. 
 
I've been really inspired to paint the movement of the wind and water, using techniques layered with small dashes of color, referencing the paint strokes flowing in circular motions like Van Gogh's Starry Night.
