The orange of each butterfly slowly starts to reveal itself, representing her joy, creativity and warmth returning to her. This painting is truly about the work we put into our healing journey and coming out on the other side. She is finally starting to embrace this new version of herself while also allowing her past experiences to settle into the soil. It doesn’t have to exist above the surface anymore but it doesn’t need to be buried so deep we forget about them. Our experiences and how we heal from them play a part in who we are today.
